01 · Week 1BriefWe talk through the space, the use and the feeling you want, on a call or in person.
02 · Weeks 2–3DrawingsPencil studies and a colour palette, with an indicative price.
03 · Weeks 3–5SamplesWool swatches, a strike-off or glazed tile samples, charged and sent for approval.
04 · 6–12 weeksMakingHand-knotted or hand-cut in Morocco, with progress photos along the way.
05 · FinalDeliveryShipped, insured and, where needed, installed with our partners.

Five retail concepts with Tourvest
Robert Emile and our sister consultancy Radian are the Tourvest Group’s partner for their expansion in Morocco, from design to business set-up, regulations and sourcing. Together we are developing five store concepts, and the brands, packaging and products that go inside them, alongside a list of the best Moroccan designers and creators to stock.

Tea & coffee · A Tourvest brand
A Moroccan tea and coffee brand built to support Moroccan artists, big and small.
Every year, new packaging editions are designed with Moroccan artists, from established names to young artists just starting out, with proceeds going to the artists. Each carton, tin and coffee pouch carries their work into stores and homes.

Monogram · Wordmark · PackagingFrom the drawing table
Robert and Emile are the middle names of our founder.
Each name comes from one of his grandparents, one on each side of the family. Both died before he was born. Bringing their two names together is our way of keeping them alive.
The re-brand started from that story. The monogram joins the R and the E into a single mark, the wordmark was drawn letter by letter, and the packaging was worked out by hand on tracing paper.

Why Robert Emile
Our studio team works alongside your in-house designers to create exactly the look you are after, and every rug is made in our own workshops in Morocco.
Together we develop exclusive designs and colourways that belong to your brand alone, then finish every rug with your own labels, swing tags and packaging, ready for your shop floor. Each piece is hand-knotted in 100% New Zealand Merino wool by our weavers in the Atlas Mountains, with the consistency a retail range needs and the character only handmade work has.
