Maison Brummell Majorelle
A sculptural house with a maker’s eye
Maison Brummell Majorelle brings a contemporary architectural confidence to one of Marrakech’s most recognisable neighbourhoods. Designed by Bergendy Cooke with Moroccan architect Amine Abouraoui for hotelier Christian Schallert, the house draws its character from the meeting of bold form and intimate detail.
Tadelakt meets terrazzo made on site. Handcrafted wood and brass furniture sits alongside carefully chosen design classics; even the door handles reward a second look. These are details that give a room its particular rhythm, from the surface beneath your feet to the object your hand reaches for.
The fireplace lounge and hammam bring a domestic softness to the architectural statement. For us, the appeal is that balance: a house with enough presence to stay in the memory, and enough warmth to imagine settling into it.
