Good Bar

A smaller room from the people behind Good Room, with vinyl at the heart of it.

Good Bar appeals to us for the same reason a well-chosen record does: someone has put thought into what they want to share. From the people behind Good Room, this more intimate space on the Williamsburg–Greenpoint border keeps the focus on listening, with a vinyl library and a sound system that is part of its identity.

We like having somewhere like this in the mix when we are thinking about New York. A place to meet without making a big occasion of it, settle into the music and see where the night goes. The room does not need much of an explanation once the records are playing. For us, the draw is being around people who care about what is coming through the speakers—and finding something new to take home in our heads.

1 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11222.
