Invisible Collection
Objects at home.
A townhouse gives furniture a different kind of attention. At Invisible Collection’s New York address on East 64th Street, pieces can be considered in relation to a room: the height of a chair, the space around a table, the conversation between a sculptural object and something more familiar.
The townhouse was developed with Olivier Garcé and Clio Dimofski. It makes a useful starting point for our interest in collectible design: how objects made with particular skill can become part of everyday surroundings.
The question to take through the door is simple. Which piece changes how you see the room? It might be the most expressive object there, or the one whose proportions only become apparent when you sit beside it.
