The Last Call
A Grand Street address where Japanese bar culture and a love of sound meet.
The Last Call brings together two things we are happy to build an evening around: Japanese bar culture and a serious interest in music. The attraction is the combination of a neighbourhood setting with the care behind a hi-fi listening space. It gives us a reason to head to Grand Street and let the evening settle there.
We like bars where the people choosing the records have a point of view. There is a particular pleasure in hearing something unfamiliar in a room where it makes perfect sense. Add company and a drink, and there is very little else we need from a night out. The Last Call belongs in our edit for that simple promise: somewhere to gather, pay attention to the music and let the next record decide how long to stay.
588 Grand Street, Brooklyn. Confirm current opening and music programme before visiting.
